What is a HEIC/HEIF file?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Format) is an image file format developed by the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) and is supported by Apple devices running iOS 11 or later. HEIC uses an advanced compression algorithm to reduce the size of image files without compromising their quality.
Why convert HEIC files to JPG, PNG, or WebP?
Although HEIC is an efficient file format, not all devices and applications are compatible with it. Converting your HEIC files to more common formats like JPG, PNG, or WebP will allow you to share your images with a wider audience.
How does it work?
1
Select the HEIC file or files you want to convert to JPG, PNG, or WebP by dragging and dropping them into the upload area or clicking the button: Click to select file. The files will be processed locally in your browser, they will not be uploaded to any server.
2
Once you have selected your files, they will be displayed in a small file manager. You can remove files you do not want to convert or add more files.
You can process up to 30 files at a time.
3
As HEIC files can contain multiple images, when you select a file, all the images it contains will be displayed at the bottom of the file manager.
It may take a few seconds to load all the images.
If you click on one of these, a sidebar will open with a preview and the available conversion options for that image.
4
If you want to convert all files at once, simply select the desired format at the bottom of the screen and click the Process button and a zip file with all the converted images will be generated.
